Stop and Smell the Roses...


Our featured artist this month is Tye Johnson. Tye works with mixed media and each series tackles shared life experiences or stand against social injustices and for the rights of people. Tye's visual art training took place at Michigan State University. Her current series, Stop and Smell the Roses, is not only her take on Black Lives Matter, but also her encouragement for all to appreciate the beauty that lies in simple moments and everyday people. This exploration will have 2 installments. Join us for both! Opening reception & 1st Installment: Friday, October 16th Closing reception & 2nd Installment: Friday, November 20th Join us for 3rd Fridays at the Zhou B Art Center from 7pm-10pm to see this exciting and colorful exhibit! We're on the 4th floor!
